Today VGS is thrilled to announce that we have raised a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) with participation from Vertex Ventures, NYCA Partners (founded by Hans Morris, former president of Visa), Slow Ventures, and Max Levchin (co-founder of PayPal).
We are also pleased to welcome Alex Rampell, a16z’s General Partner, to the Board of Directors. Alex is a seasoned operator with expertise in the fintech space and serves on the boards of companies like TransferWise and Earnin. Alex is also a serial entrepreneur with successful exits to McAfee and Visa.
In addition to helping us to grow our team, support more customers, and add new compliance certifications (we already support PCI, SOC2, and more), this funding will accelerate our international expansion and help make best-in-class data security available to everyone.
